Water table fun

The girls have rediscovered Haley's favorite toy from last summer.

They also made these cool new bug jars at camp.  However, we have no bugs...at least not yet!

First, just perfect weather for riding around the block.

Haley restarted music class.

Then both girls took their first private swimming lesson at Wheaton College.

Haley was underwhelmed.

 The girls really enjoyed the tram ride.

 We also had some lovely patio lunches.

 And craft time, of course.

Gardens and Bats and Dances oh my!

 With Mommy out of commission and Gigi and Roger visiting, we decided on some outings to keep the girls busy and out of trouble

 First up, the Chicago Botanic Garden.  Look at the beautiful flowers!

 This fountain was one of many discoveries in the garden.

 Haley loved the Peonies.

 After the Garden, we stopped by the Grove for Bat day.  There weren't too many bats to be seen but we did get to hang around with this Sloth.  We also saw a baby fox and an little armadillo.

 We did finally find one bat so we took a picture with him.

 We also saw some pretty gnarly saws.

 Stephie is underwhelmed by the safety features on this one.

 Speaking of safety features, the girls are still enjoying their new zip line.

 And the water table is a perennial favorite.

Finally time for dance recitals.  You girls look beautiful.

First, Stephie was very brave at her kindergarten eye exam.

The girls had their first lemonade stand...

 ...and we got rid of some junk.

We celebrated with lunch on the patio at Shannon's.

 And finally, look who is 35 today!
