Field trip downtown

It was a beautiful day for a trip to downtown Chicago.  All aboard the train!

 We took the water taxi to Michigan Avenue...

 ...and then walked to AG place for a lovely breakfast.  Look, Julie and Kit!  And everyone's favorite photo-bomber.

 Haley is campaigning for the doll of the year, Isabelle.

 Violet was not impressed.  : )

Carillon

After a brief rain delay...

...the girls enjoyed a private tour and concert of the carillon at the Chicago Botanic Gardens.  Awesome!

Fabulous Fairy Fun

Not.  In reality, the fairies were creepy and the festival a rip-off.  At least there was face painting.

This mermaid told the girls if she didn't sell enough treasures, the pirates would cut off her tail to make soup.  What?!?!
