Violet's birthday, part 2

Some new clothes...

And new toys too.

Violet at Three by Grandma Julie

If you ask me what I like to do then I'll give you a clue.
I like to use my suitcase and my purse and backpack too.
I pack up my belongings and Holly's clothes and food.
I pack up Stephie and Haley's things if I am in the mood.

Sometimes I hide my Mommy's things in the garage or in a bin.
I don’t remember where they are or what I put them in.
It makes her wish that all her things were equipped with a locator.
I make them very hard to find when she's looking for them later.

I like to eat zucchini and some cauliflower rice.
And after I eat my vegetables, bread and butter are quite nice.
Raspberries, cherries, and banana bread are always quite a treat.
I might also eat broccoli but don’t make me eat meat!

A year ago my longest hike was walking around the block.
Just yesterday with Mommy's help I climbed up Moro rock.
Three weeks ago in my new boots I hiked almost three miles.
When Dad didn’t have to carry me it really made him smile.

I like to play with puzzles and I like to play a game.
I like to play with Dora's house and Zingo and my train.
I love to paint and make a mess which I get to do at school.
I'm very good at hide and seek. I jump out and say boo.

I like to hold somebody's hand when we walk around the block.

Then we sing Round the Mulberry Bush or Hickory Dickory Dock.
My favorite is the monkeys who are jumping on the bed.
Or the tale of Humpty Dumpty who falls off and breaks his head.

I no longer have any trouble trying to go to sleep.
I say I’m ti-red, suck my thumb, and also rub my cheek.
I look up at my buddies in the shelves above my head,
Then I snuggle on my soft sheets in my brand new big girl bed.

It seems 100 times a day they take pictures of me.
I have the cutest grin when I hear “Smile at me V”.
My mom still blogs us daily showing our activities and places.
Sometimes instead of smiling I like to make some silly faces.

I made it past the terrible twos and really was quite sweet.
I’m kind and funny and cuddly and being with me is a treat.
If three years old is adorable then let’s see what I have in store,
So many changes and adventures as I grow from three to four.
