Visiting Joshua Tree -- the cholla gardens

 It was a 45 minute drive from Palm Desert to Joshua Tree National Park.

We drove through the desolate Mojava desert.

 Next up: the cholla garden.  There was a LOT of discussion about not touching the cholla.
