At 10 years old you’ve grown so much,
we see how much has changed,
But those of us who know you best
see all that has stayed the same.

The first time that we saw your face
the joy almost broke our hearts.
And the dimples that are still in your cheeks
are one of your special parts.

Since the time that you were one,
you have had Bingo in your bed.
Now he and his clones and BB too
all lay around your head.

At two years old you loved to say
 the princess book by heart.
And now if you are in a play,
you know the lines to every part.

Music and dance lessons began for you
 when you were quite petite.
And now to watch and hear you play
 is a very special treat.

You love to read, you always have.
That’s one thing that stays the same.
You love to do a craft, or art,
or a puzzle or a game.

When we come over to your house
 you still greet us with kiss.
Thank goodness you still sit on our laps
because that’s something that we would miss.

When you’re not dancing you still hold our hands
 when we go on a walk.
It’s a very special time for us
because then we get to talk.

Whenever there’s a job to do,
you always do your part.
You have a ton of friends because
you’ve got a great big heart!

Your teachers have all loved you because
 you’re funny and you’re sweet.
You’ve made new friends each time you moved
 because you’re kind to all you meet.

We celebrate these last ten years. 
We love you through and through.
We love all of your characteristics,
because they make you you.
